Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s the 28th, not the 16th. This one was my bad, folks. Computer issues not withstanding, there’s little to no excuse for getting a show to you two weeks after it was recorded. Luckily, it’s a kick-ass episode, filled with bits about Green Arrow, Sopranos, and Vince’s Wii. So sit back, relax, play some Wii Sports, and listen to us ramble on about everything geeky!

A New Era

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Well, here we are. Shots in the Dark- you don’t see us, but you always hear us. I’m Lucas, aka The Geek, and I’m here to welcome you to a new era.

What was the old era, you ask? Well, we’re not gonna talk about that much. Let’s just say there WAS an old era, and all 6 core members of this fantabulous new blog/podcast team have worked together on a different podcast previously. In addition to that, Janelle and I have been writing for Best Shots and Shotgun Reviews for a while now.

What’re we bringing to this new era? I’m so glad you asked! First and foremost, we are a Podcast team. There’re tons and tons of podcasts out there nowadays, but not a lot that cover the broad range of “Geek Culture” that we do here. Between our original content in the form of bits, segments, and more to come, and our amazing interviews with people like nerdcore rapper MC Lars and DC Senior Editor Mike Marts (and that was just in a 3 week span!), we are going to bring nothing but the best to your tempanic membranes. For those who are more visually stimulated, that’s why we have our full site, and of course, this here BLOG

As for Reviews, we’ll be reviewing just about everything under the sun. We have cool reviews coming up on some newish Nintendo DS games, and some hot gear from Logitech. If you’re wondering if you should be throwin down those hard earned ducketts on something, we’ll let you know here.

So, if you’ve heard us talk before, you’re in for the best of the old and a whole crapload of exciting new.

If you’re a new listener/reader, welcome! We officially launch on April 7th, and we’ll be jumping into this thing head first. Stay tuned for the announcement on our exact topic- we want to keep you in suspense a little longer.

Until then, visit our site, talk to us on our forum, and most importantly, geek out!

-Lucas
