Shots in the Dark - Podcast Episode 9: WGA Strike, Eden: It's an Endless World, Guitar Hero III and More! [40:27m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadOh yes indeed, we have yet another mind-blowing, heart-wrenching, and all manner of hyphen-laden hyperbole show for you this week! We’ve managed to get the whole crew together, sans The Viceroy and JB, who are currently en route to LA to join in the “Picketing with the Stars”. So Lucas “The Geek”, Janelle, Vince and Imoticon all talk turkey on all manner of geeky goodness. Get ready for an Otaku Onslaught as we discuss Hiroki Endo’s Eden: It’s an Endless World and then dig into some video game discourse on Rockband and Guitar Hero III. The crew also talks about the new digital age of comics and Marvel’s upcoming plans to take their expansive library into the 21st century with Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited.Just click on any one of the wonderfully eye-catching buttons below to play, download or bookmark this totally new and truly outrageous gem of a show.

Just got round to listening to the show as I’ve been stacked with uni work lately but maybe I shouldn’t say all that much in case we have another episode of Lucas droning on and on. Hah, seriously though it was another great, interesting show and I liked the shout-out, thanks gang. I really enjoyed the opinions on Marvel’s DCU and Guitar Hero sounds like an absolute riot too, I’m so jealous.
A couple of complaints/suggestions though, you could hear Lucas fine but the rest of the crew were not as loud. Maybe it was the seating arrangements or if it was deliberate but you had to turn the volume up full to just hear what Janelle, Vince or Steve were saying at times. Also during “Otaku Onslaught”, the theme music went on a bit too long and it was also louder than Janelle’s voice so it was hard to pick up on what she was saying. Hope I don’t come off as a jackass with these gripes, but thanks for taking the time to do the show.

Thanks for the feedback, Guv. We’re always looking for insight on how we can make the show even better. And some of the best ideas we’ve gotten from our listeners, so be sure to keep ‘em coming! We diagnosed the issue that caused Lucas and the rest of the crew to be so out of sync volume-wise with one-another and it shouldn’t happen again. We’re also planning to shorten the background tunes and bring them down - good catch there.
Totally get yourself a copy of Rock Band. Imoticon, JB and I have been rocking out as “Cornelia” on a ripping world tour. The game is absolutely SWEET! If you have an Xbox live account, be sure to look for us online - rocking the world one city at a time.
Cheers!

This was the first show I’ve listened to, pretty good I must say but I just have one thing to correct. Love Hina is NOT a shoujo manga it’s a shonen harem manga it ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine.
