The Villains

As chronicled by this site, I love 21st Century Toys action figures. All of them are way cool and have tons of accessories. Today, I'm going to review a few of their figures that may have slipped under your radar…the Villains.

The Villains line of figures provides enemies for your America's Finest Cops, SWAT and Firemen. These are the guys that make having the SWAT Team worthwhile. They make several, but I'll only review a few (the ones I own).

First is the Villain. This is actually the second figure of this name. The original Villain wore a black trench coat. This one wears a thigh length overcoat. To make a long story short, the original Villain came out close to Columbine. At that time, anything in a black overcoat was deemed evil (hell, I wore a brown London Fog during that time period and I had morons making comments about it…now I wear a much less ominous looking black leather coat…). So, the new Villain debuted. He is exactly the same, save for the aforementioned coat. He's armed with a pump-action shotgun (with working pump-action), an AK-47 (sawn down to terrorist length) and a bulletproof vest. His ski mask says "Don't even think of fucking with me." I don't know his politics, but I'd take Symbionese Liberation Army literature if he offered to me during a bank heist.

Next comes Junkyard Jack. This guy looks dangerous. He's either in organized crime or straight out of an Andrew Vachss novel. He comes with a SPAS12 shotgun, cell phone, chain necklace, watch and two Dobermans. He's decked out in all leather and a black, skull T-shirt. The scars on his face and hands drive home the point that he probably trained those killer Dobermans himself…with a tire iron, some gunpowder and a pint of A-1. I just wish he came with more guns.

Last comes T-Gore. He's supposed to be a bounty hunter, but I'll bet he's done some merc work in Africa and South America and maybe a little wetwork stateside. He also looks like one of my cousins. Thankfully, I didn't get those genes…jeez. T-Gore stands out amongst the Villains because he comes with enough spare ammunition to replay the last gunfight from 3000 Miles to Graceland. He has six spare magazines for his rifle and two for his pistol. For up close work, he comes with a fighting knife and wallet chain (another thing he shares in common with my cousin). The nose ring and tattoos complete the image of a badass (or a convincing wannabe, which would make the resemblance to my cousin complete). All in all, I'd say these are some pretty cool figures. Evil and action rolled into one 12" tall package. 21st Century Toys plans on producing several more Villains. Go to 21st Century Toys for more information.

I can't wait until Matilda comes out.
